Mother Daughter Team

shirt: thrifted, skirt: homemade, tights: anthro, shoes: target, necklace: wal-mart

This summer when my family was out visiting I convinced my Mom to help me make a skirt. You see, for many years she tried and tried to get me interested in sewing. Unfortunately, I was highly uninterested. It was neither anime nor mario kart 64. Now all I want is for her to sit beside me all day and let me glean her sewing and cooking and wonderfulness. Life is funny, sometimes. But luckily I have the most kind and patient Mother and even though I had nothing but a picture of what I was wanting, we figured it out. We were pretty excited.

GO TEAM!

Also, I made sure to get a shot of these tights because are really really really fun to wear.

  1. Go inside RIGHT NOW! These pictures are making me cold. :)

I can totally relate to the sewing and cooking dilemma! I have a few sewing projects that I'm holding on to, hoping Mom will visit soon :).

    Love the tights!

  2. Oh, I'm so jealous! I wish my mother could sit with me and teach me to sew - but she doesn't sew either. She is gifting me a sewing machine for Christmas (once I pick one out).
    Your skirt looks amazing!
