today I used: 18 // 24 // 25 // 29
american eagle earrings / dads belt
With three days left in this challenge, I finally decided on what to switch out my gold sandals with. Meet my blue sweater I scored at wal-mart clearance for $3. Yeeeesss. It orginally went down to my knees, so I chopped it off. Sad thing is, I think I chopped too much! But I'm gonna make it work because it is so comfy and soft and wonderful.
A little fact about this beautifully broken building? It's an outhouse. Complete with shower, sink and toilet. I didn't try it out though...something told me the weeds coming out of the porcelain said it wouldn't work. Plus, there was no soap.
Now that you're thoroughly grossed out, let's talk about my hair for a second. Since it's a crazy lion mane of hair, I usually let it do it's thing and we get along OK. But this (now two days ago) day I was really feeling sick and showering sounded like torture. So I tried to tame it.
Hmm.
Husband really liked it, but I'm a bit undecided. For being so out of control, my hair is a bit of security blanket for me. As long as it looks good, I could be wearing a cat sweater, leg warmers and army boots and I'd be happy. (are you picturing that? Let's add sequins and a bow around my neck.) So this is really breaking out of my comfort zone. I will say that it is different, and after 27 days of my face, it's sure nice to shake it up a little.
I like how your belt brightens up your outfit! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your hair like that... and the belt!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your hair, it's perfectly curly and SO cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd the blue sweater looks awesome and not too short... and I'm jealous that it was only $3! :) The walmart nearest to our house is SOO ghetto.. I wish I could visit more often to find good deals on clothes but everytime we leave we're always like "remind me never to shop at Walmart again"
This outfit is so cute. I'm just in love with belting everything lately, so this hits the mark for me. Your location is so beautiful, I can't believe it's an outhouse!!
ReplyDelete1. HELLO THERE AGAIN. it's always nice to see you back on my reader. :D
ReplyDelete2. i love that you always alter your clothes. i wouldn't even dare cause that would just make things very very un-wearable but you make things so cute. love the belt over the cardigan.
3. pretty background is pretty even if it's a outhouse. i am jealous of all this pretty landscapes. you get my door, obviously not an equal deal. :D
4. AND AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOUR WILD HAIR, THIS IS AN AWESOME NEW STYLE AND I'M NOT PULLING YOUR LEG. YAY FOR LOOKING GREAT AND THE HUSBAND LIKING IT. obviously, you're gorgeous
What a steal at $3! And I love that you were bold enough to chop it off to a length you like. It worked out so nicely.
