today I wore: 6 / 21 / 27 / wal-mart necklace / thrifted belt

Last night I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat for dinner. Like, at all. I did a good ten minute wander between the pantry and kitchen to no avail. Open fridge. Close fridge. Open pantry. Open fridge again. Back to pantry. Forget to close fridge and it beeps at me. Not helping, fridge.

So I had hot chocolate in a mason jar. Possibly the best dinner I've ever made! We even got out the mini 'mallows and husband showed me his trick. He can throw marshmallows high high in the air and catch them in his mouth! After a few impressive catches by him I tried to throw some for him to catch. They went everywhere but. Marshmallow throwing at a specific target? Not my forte. Kissing him soundly on the lips after? I triumph.

Now, he showed me a trick, so I want to show you my new trick!

I tucked my shirt into my tights.

Is that weird? It seems weird to me but great glory it worked! My shirt was not staying in place today and while I was unpinning the side of my skirt to use the restroom I thought that was a crazy idea. And that shirt stayed put. Go try it guys! And then we can all do a little Urkel dance together. I'll even throw marshmallows in your general direction. Sound fun?

  1. i love both of your outfits so far, you are sooo adorable! i need more button-up shirts ... after the challenge. :) and that hot chocolate description is redirecting me towards my cupboards. thanks for the bedtime snack suggestion!

  2. HEY! hot chocolate sounds like my kind of dinner haha :D i approve.

you know what else i approve off? This scallop edged skirt. it's so pretty!!!!!

and yes, tucking it into your tights seems like a good way to keep it snug. good job! :D

i'll tell you how it works out for me.

  3. What a cute skirt! And I TOTES tuck my shirts into my tights. But I also pull my tights up to my bosoms, so maybe don't take advice from me.

  4. GREAT advice, the tucking of the shirt into the pants. And GREAT story of a hot chocolate dinner!

  5. lol I WILL try it, and that DOES sound like fun. Fantastic idea :) And I'm loving your scalloped skirt so much!

  6. I JUST discovered this trick last week myself! Its the BEST way to keep button-up collared shirts tucked in properly and bump-free!!

  7. That skirt is adorable. And I tuck my shirts into my tights all the time. It helps them stay in place and minimizes weird bulges and lines.
